John Shahul is an American poet, digital artist, engineer, and author of the poetry collection The Mirror and The Moment and the forthcoming free verse drama Stony Man and Shenandoah.
Driven by a lifelong passion for poetry, he has many more collections of poems, verse drama and romantic poetry awaiting publication.
John holds a degree in English literature and a master's in engineering. He writes from a sun-drenched desk near the Gulf of Mexico, drawing on his poetic sensibility and creative storytelling skills. He balances his time between building fictional worlds and enjoying the sea breeze with his family and a very spoiled retriever.
Inspired by a childhood competitive streak with his brother, John began writing poetry at age 17. His poems explore nature, love, romance, and travel across India, the USA, France, and Italy.Â
Influenced by great poets like Browning, Tennyson, Shelley, Keats, Wordsworth, Frost, Dickinson, Poe, Whitman, and Longfellow, his unique storytelling style ensures every poem reads like a story, and every story like a poem.
